Lock Pin

Although they are extremely effective and used so widely across the world in all sorts of industries, camlock hose couplings rely on a relatively simple operational technology. There is also a simple and economical way to make sure that the arms on cam couplers don’t accidentally come open and release the hose connection while product is flowing through it.

For safety’s sake you can opt to use lock pins – also known as R Clips – as a safety device to secure the coupling assembly.

These bent pins are specially configured to work with camlocks that have pin-holes drilled through the body near to the arm pins. Once the camlock adaptor has been connected to the coupler the lock pin (or R clip) can be pushed through a hole behind the arms on the coupler, to stop the arms from opening. The pin effectively fixes the two halves of a camlock together to stop them from working themselves loose.
