Male Adaptor x Hose Tail Aluminium

This aluminium male adaptor with a smooth hose tail (or hose shank) is the other half of a perfect partnership. When married with an aluminium female coupler of the same dimensions and manufacturing standard, it creates a leakproof connection between two hoses.

This camlock quick connection with hose tail cam and groove part is favoured in cases where there is the risk of a traditional part causing damage to the hose liner, such as a chemical-resistant liner. The smooth tail allows for the male adaptor to be inserted into the hose safely and secured with an outer clamp. The same goes for the matching female coupler with a smooth tail (also available from Provincial Rubber), which can be connected and sealed using the coupler arms.

Aluminium is the perfect material for hose couplings, being light in weight (around two-thirds the weight of steel or brass with the same mass) but extremely robust and strong, as well as corrosion resistant. This makes aluminium particularly suitable for larger connectors that are used in industrial environments. Aluminium hose connectors are also cheaper to buy than steel alternatives.
