Type DC

Our brass camlock Type DC is a female end coupler which acts as a dust cap for camlock plugs of identical size (Type A, E & F adaptors).

If you are new to camlocks (also known as cam and groove couplings) you should know that they are nifty devices which quickly and easily join hoses or piping. Camlocks consist of an adapter and relater coupler – the adapter fits inside the coupler and the arms are lowered to create an instant, tight seal.

Brass is a particularly good material for cam and groove fittings because it has good corrosive resistance to water, coolants, hydraulic oils, chemicals and other liquids conveyed through hose couplings. It is also relatively inexpensive, light to handle yet strong and durable.

We have a full range of brass camlock coupling types available in all the standard sizes. We don’t recommend matching our high-quality brass cam and groove fittings with those from other suppliers, which may be of inferior quality or differing manufacturing standards and therefore may not be compatible.
