PTFE stands for polytetrafluoroethylene. It’s a versatile polymer that has many uses in industrial and consumer applications – including plumbing.
PTFE has a lot of useful properties, the main one being that it is water resistant (and resistant to substances containing water). It can withstand extremely high temperatures, and is resistant to friction, anti-corrosive, non-stick and non-reactive.
It’s perfect for making gaskets, as a lubricant for machinery, or as a sealing or electrical insulation tape. Our PTFE jointing and sealing products are therefore excellent for a myriad purposes.
We stock, supply and deliver two brands of superior performance PTFE sealing and jointing products. The Novus Uniflon range (50, 51, 53, 58 and 60) includes biaxially orientated PTFE sheet sealing material designed to suit different types of flanges.

Novatex Gasket Sheet
