Spare Gaskets

Rubber gaskets or seals play a crucial role in the efficient operation of cam and groove couplings. With each locking or unlocking of the coupling pressure is exerted on the gasket, so over time gasket deterioration and wear can reduce the performance of the camlock coupler.
The rubber gaskets are engineered to stop leakage while undergoing a variety of compression levels.
We recommend that you make a habit of periodically inspecting the gasket in your camlock coupling to ensure an efficient, safe and leakproof performance.
In the event of experiencing a damaged or deteriorated cam and groove gasket we supply a range of spare gaskets in various materials and sizes to suit your camlock connection and the application.
Buna (nitrile) rubber gaskets are the standard that come with most types of cam and groove assemblies. This is because they have good all-round resistance to a wide range of fluids, including petroleum products, vegetable and mineral oils, and most chemicals. They can also withstand temperatures from −40 to 108 °C (−40 to 226 °F).
Other types of gaskets commonly used as camlock seals are Viton, EPDM, Silicone, and FEP/PFA Encapsulated, depending on the media being transported. EPDM gaskets for example are very compatible with hot and cold water, agriculture fertiliser and hydraulic fluids, while Viton gaskets are chemically inert even in the toughest corrosive conditions.
Whatever type of spare camlock gasket you require, Provincial Rubber can supply them in any size or quantity you need, delivered direct to your door anywhere in the UK. Our experts are also on hand to advise you on the best type of rubber camlock gasket for your particular application.
