Nylon 12 Rod – extruded

Extruded Nylon 12 rods have great tensile strength and excellent resistance to chemicals and ultraviolet.

On the downside Nylon 12 is not as strong as other engineering nylon materials, and has a lower melting point, but its transparency makes it useful in applications where optical clarity is required.

Nylon 12 also offers an impressive (UL 94 H-B) flammability rating.

Some of its main characteristics are:

• Ability to withstand temperatures of up to +80 °C
• Good Resistance to chemicals, oils and cleaning fluids
• High Resistance to stress cracking
• Good impact strength
• UV resistant

Nylon 12 rod is usually manufactured into products like bearing parts, sliding rails, gear wheels, pump parts, rollers, electric insulators and wear components.
